I have been working as a live C-Print captionist since 2006 at a variety of colleges and universities. One of my favorite things about working at the University of Minnesota is the greater variety of places and situations in which captioning is provided. Captioning is not limited to classrooms and students; it is in offices and meeting rooms for faculty/staff and at events open to the public. Society should not miss out on what people have to offer simply because their methods of learning, communicating, and solving problems are not the standard.
C-Print, also, can provide more than just live captions. It has features for chatting back and forth with your captionist, as well as adding notes right into a transcript. I am happy to discuss and demonstrate how we can be sure the captioning experience is what you need it to be.
